I don’t know about you, but this season always feels like a bit of a threshold - part sunlight, part uncertainty, with just enough birdsong and new shoots to remind us that something is stirring.
This spring, I’ve been leaning into slow mornings, moving my body gently with yoga and trying to create more space for inspiration to land - and I thought I’d share a little of what’s been sparking ideas and creativity for me lately. Whether you're journaling with a cup of tea, walking the same trail each morning, or just trying to remember where you put your sunglasses last year (me too!), I hope some of this might meet you where you are.
📖 What I’m reading…
I’ve been loving the thoughtful, grounded writing over on Aja Barber’s Patreon - she writes with such clarity about the intersections of fashion, sustainability, privilege and change. It’s a brilliant, eye-opening resource, especially during this season of shifting things behind the scenes here at House of Flint.
On my bedside table (and top of my spring reading pile) is The Roaring Days of Zora Lily by Noelle Salazar - I haven’t started it yet, but I’m already swooning over the cover and promise of 1920s glitz, grit and gowns!
🎧 What I’m listening to…
This season I’ve made myself a spring playlist, full of soft folk, slow builds, and the kind of tracks that make you want to roll the windows down and drive into the morning light. It’s been soundtracking my days in the studio and bringing a little more ease to that seasonal unfurling.
I’m also really enjoying The Fashion Brand Clinic podcast. It’s packed with behind-the-scenes insights into running a values-led business in the fashion world - equal parts practical and inspiring, especially as House of Flint steps into its new rhythm.
🌿 What I’m learning…
Slower doesn’t always mean still. This season, with all the changes happening behind the scenes at House of Flint, I’ve been reminded that it’s okay to be moving through something - to be refiguring, to be growing in ways that aren’t always tidy or fast. There’s beauty in that unfolding, even if I’m still finding the shape of it.
💭 A quick favour
If you haven’t yet, I’d love for you to fill out this short questionnaire before midnight on 1st May. It’s a way for me to check in and make sure the next chapter of House of Flint reflects what you truly want and need.
And as a thank you, you’ll be entered into a draw to win a £100 voucher to spend in the shop.
Whether you’re planting seeds, switching your wardrobe around, or just watching the blossom do its thing, I hope you're feeling inspired, rooted, and full of potential this spring!
