House of Flint
I'm Jessica and I started House of Flint five years ago whilst living in a caravan at the bottom of a veg plot. We create versatile, long-lasting clothing that moves and adjusts to your body and will take you through each season, offering simplicity, function and comfort. Sizing now runs from XS to 5XL, plus custom sizing or adjustments (length/etc.) are available anytime, up to any size.

Our Values
Every decision I make, from design and fabric to packaging and beyond, is made with sustainability in mind. I take pride in the slow crafting of each garment to ensure you receive a beautiful piece you're excited to wear time and time again.

Our Name
The name ‘House of Flint’ is inspired by the house my dad has been slowly building for the last 20+ years, which is the base for my extended family. In our little spot in the Lincolnshire Wolds we live and work alongside each other: you’ll find a small publishing press, a nature-inspired blog, beehives, a forge, a potter's wheel and a brewery - to name a few.

Our Studio
I currently run the business from our Lincolnshire studio, balancing work with looking after my four-year-old. If you have any questions it’s always me you are talking to - and I'm always happy to chat and offer help with sizing or garment choice!

Slow fashion
Each garment is made with care in small, thoughtful batches. We’ve moved away from made-to-order, but our commitment to intention, quality and timeless design hasn’t changed.
Now, most of our pieces are ready to ship - meaning no long wait times, but still the same attention to detail.
For new releases, we often open a limited pre-order window. This allows you to secure your size before we go into production, reducing waste and ensuring you don’t miss out. Once pre-orders close, we make exactly what’s needed, and your piece is typically ready to ship within around two weeks. Any extras will be listed as ready-to-ship, but stock is limited, so pre-ordering is always the best way to guarantee you get what you love.
Every seam is stitched using durable techniques like flat-felled or French seams, so your garments are made to last and to be lived in. Once finished, each piece is pressed and packed by hand before making its way to you — with ready-to-ship items usually dispatched in 3–5 working days.
Sustainable
Our designs are made to transcend trend-led fashion. Each piece is created with longevity and adjustability in mind, so it can evolve with you over time, becoming a wardrobe companion for years to come.
We continue to switch up our fabrics regularly, using a mix of ethically sourced natural fibres and deadstock fabrics - unwanted materials saved from landfill and given a second life. These limited runs mean many pieces are exclusive and made in small quantities.
Every parcel is also sent with a few fabric remnants, just in case you ever need to make a subtle repair or patch, because caring for your clothes is part of the story too.
Designs intended to transcend the fickleness of trend-led fast fashion

Adjustable
Our garments have always been created with a changing body in mind. Our bodies don’t stay the same over time, so how can we expect our clothing to? Adjustable fits are created with clever ties, wraps and elasticated areas, and we never use traditional fastenings such as buttons or zips, as these are more prone to breaking over time.
Inclusive
From the beginning of House of Flint, I made expanding our sizing a priority. Our standard sizing runs from an XS-5XL.
In addition, we regularly make adjustments for those with different needs (wheelchair users/etc.) so I am always happy to chat over making your garment easier to wear too.
