The Thirty Coat returns... I designed this piece a few years ago, and while it hasn't been available for a while, my mum still keeps ordering it from me in new colours! This lightweight piece is the perfect layer to be smarter than a cardigan, but not as heavy as a classic coat - layer over dresses to instantly elevate your look!
It features a dropped armhole (so you can fit many things beneath!), contrast cuff to be rolled to your preferred length, a collar that can be worn up or down, and a drawstring at the back waist to allow you to fully show of your outfit beneath!
It is also the design I took the Solstice Shirt from, so think of it as a long-line version of that if you're curious about fit. Made here in a lightweight linen, but a double gauze version have the more relaxed feel of The Solstice Shirt (as seen on Becky in chartreuse double gauze).
FIT CHECK
As a loose and adjustable fit, I would suggest selecting your size based on our size guide and your body measurements. However, the hip measurement below will give you an idea at the fit here when worn loose. It becomes more fitted when The drawstring is tightened and is intended to be worn open.
Emma is wearing the small in a standard length (over a long length dress), and Becky is wearing the XL Solstice Shirt which has the same fit, and Mum & Nancy wear the medium coat worn loose without the drawstring.
GARMENT MEASUREMENTS
With an asymmetric hem, this piece measures 23” from waist to hem at the front and 30” waist to hem at the back. It is a dropped sleeve but at full length (cuff not rolled) it will measure roughly 24” from your shoulder point, and you can roll the cuff to reveal the contrast and ensure the sleeve ends at the correct length.

House of Flint sizing is fairly relaxed and even adjustable for some pieces, to ensure you can get just the fit you want. The measurements below are a guide for the body, please see the description tab for the garment measurements.

If you are in between sizes or have any specific requests don’t hesitate to get in touch. I am always happy to alter designs to create the best fit. Remember the garments are designed to be a little oversized so if you are in between sizes you can size up or down depending on whether you prefer a slim or loose fit.
All garments are made for an average height of roughly 5ft 6”. Length measurements are stipulated on each product page with an option to add or remove length but do let me know if you’d like a further adjustment.
In order to obtain your measurements please follow the guide below:
- Bust - Measure all the way around your bust at the fullest point in an everyday bra if you wear one.
- Waist - Measure all the way around the narrowest part of your waist, which normally falls around your belly button.
- Hips - Measure all the way around the widest part of your hips or top of thighs.

SHIPPING - Made-To-Order garments will be shipped in 3-5 weeks. Ready-To-Ship garments will be shipped in 3-4 days.
Unfortunately we have had to remove the EU and Northern Ireland as shipping options due to the new GPSR. We will keep looking into ways to change this and apologise for any inconvenience.
FABRIC CARE - Machine wash at 30, air dry (do not tumble dry), and iron on “cotton”. Some colours may fade slightly, so keep separate from other garments for first wash.
