Did you fall in love with our Carousel Dress in September? Well, she's back, and better than ever!
We could only make 3 of our rainbow version, as the dress was designed to use up end-of-roll fabrics for the contrast panels, and the dropped waist wasn't for everyone! So this update features a skirt that starts at your true waist (or a touch higher - see measurements below), and I've also brought back our sell-out giant polka as an option for the contrast panels! Pictured here paired with rust corduroy.
The fit is completely adjustable with belt loops and side ties, so it will never feel tight. Individual panels and triangles of fabric are then stitched together to create the full skirt. It has floaty, flared sleeves and roomy side seam pockets. Finished inside with our usual flat or felled seams, with a fully lined bodice in the same fabric as the dress, so it feels super secure.

FIT CHECK
As this garment is a loose fit it is the bust measurement that determines what size you should select. The adjustable fit means you can wear loose or nip in to your waist. There is plenty of room at the hip, so don't worry if you feel you are sizing down there based on our size guide tab. Still not sure on your size? Though this features a different sleeve and neckline, the bust and waist are exactly the same as our swing styles - so if you've worn one of these before, opt for the same size!
I'm wearing the long length here (despite being only 5ft 3"), as I love the drama of the extra long swish, but you can select the standard, short (2" shorter), or feel free to request a custom length if you were after something more everyday in style!

House of Flint sizing is fairly relaxed and even adjustable for some pieces, to ensure you can get just the fit you want. The measurements below are a guide for the body, please see the description tab for the garment measurements.

If you are in between sizes or have any specific requests don’t hesitate to get in touch. I am always happy to alter designs to create the best fit. Remember the garments are designed to be a little oversized so if you are in between sizes you can size up or down depending on whether you prefer a slim or loose fit.
All garments are made for an average height of roughly 5ft 6”. Length measurements are stipulated on each product page with an option to add or remove length but do let me know if you’d like a further adjustment.
In order to obtain your measurements please follow the guide below:
- Bust - Measure all the way around your bust at the fullest point in an everyday bra if you wear one.
- Waist - Measure all the way around the narrowest part of your waist, which normally falls around your belly button.
- Hips - Measure all the way around the widest part of your hips or top of thighs.
PAYMENTS - Pay in full or in instalments (shipping unaffected). Get in touch for a custom payment plan.
SHIPPING - Made-To-Order garments will be shipped in 3-5 weeks. Ready-To-Ship garments will be shipped in 3-4 days.
CHRISTMAS SHIPPING - Last orders for Made-To-Order are 30th November (UK only). Last orders for Ready-To-Ship are 1st December for international delivery, 19th December for UK delivery.
Unfortunately we have had to remove the EU and Northern Ireland as shipping options due to the new GPSR. We will keep looking into ways to change this and apologise for any inconvenience.
FABRIC CARE - Machine wash at 30, air dry (do not tumble dry), and iron on “cotton”. Some colours may fade slightly, so keep separate from other garments for first wash.
